The NBA, Garki, Abuja (Liberty Bar)
On the 9th of June, 2022 at Ilorin Kwara State, NBA National Executive Committee Meeting passed a resolution to split NBA Abuja into two: NBA Abuja and NBA Garki and that saw to the emergence of NBA Garki Branch as one of the two Branches of the NBA existing in the F.C.T municipality and one of the the branches of NBA in Nigeria. On the same day the resolution was passed by NBA NEC, the Branch conducted election to elect its pioneer Chairman, Mr. Obioma Ezenwobodo and other executive committee members to run the affairs of the Branch from 2022 to 2024.
The Branch at its monthly general meeting on 18 November 2023 at the Exhibition Pavilion, Opposite Radio House, Area 10 Garki, Abuja adopted the resolution to have the monica of the Branch known as ‘Liberty Bar’. This monica reflect the passion and zeal of the Branch to reflect the ideals of rule of law and protection of fundamental rights of the citizens.
The Branch was created to cater and attend to the welfare of all lawyers resident or practicing in Garki 1 & 2 districts, Central Business District, Areas 1-11, Asokoro, Guzape, Apo, Gudu, Games Village, Durumi, Lokogoma, Gaduwa, Galadimawa, Kabusa, Waru and other environs.
The Branch is noted for its advocacy for a better society, welfare of its members and advancement of justice administration.
